Notes on a new OPM fan made genre:
1. Basically a Neo-Traditional OPM, the lyrics must be made by a Literati member of symbianize. Otherwise it's basically just a Neo-Traditional OPM.
2. Use of scales - Originally strict to the use of nine-tone scale. However, with the discovery of Spanish Gypsy producing same mood, any scale having note-1, note, note+2, note+3, (whether from the root or any parts of the scale) - the first four notes of the Funeral March, may be used.
3. That being said, songs of the said genre can have any mood. It was first intended for depressing and melodramatic mood (like the Funeral March) but the said scales used were proven to produce other song atmospheres. As the genre matures, more atmospheres and moods shall be accepted.
4. Instruments used should be acoustic, or synthesizers modeled to sound like acoustic instruments. Minimalism recommended but not required. This is still disputed.
